A LEADER IN WORKPLACE SAFETY

Since 1930, the Stark County Safety Council has brought employers, safety professionals and community leaders together to make workplaces safer and stronger. With more than 300 member organizations representing nearly every sector of the local economy, the Council is one of the region’s largest and longest-standing safety programs.

Through monthly educational programs, networking opportunities and special events, members gain practical information on workplace safety, health, human resources, risk management and emerging issues affecting today’s employers.

Eligible participating employers may also qualify for workers’ compensation premium rebates through the BWC Safety Council Rebate Program.

EDUCATION, CONNECTION, AND COMMUNITY IMPACT

The Stark County Safety Council hosts approximately 15 programs and special events each year, bringing hundreds of professionals together for safety education, networking and community engagement. Signature events include the Safety, Health & HR Fair, Annual Fire Prevention Breakfast & Awards, and Annual Crime Prevention Breakfast & Awards, along with monthly luncheons covering timely workplace safety topics.

As part of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) Safety Council Program, the Council connects employers with valuable resources, expert guidance and opportunities to strengthen workplace safety.

Community involvement is also a priority. Throughout the year, members support local families through the annual Food Drive, Toys for Tots collection and Spread the Warmth campaign, which collects hats, mittens, gloves and scarves for those in need.
